We are 25 students and 2 Professors representing Gustavus Adolphus College (with one student from Hamline University and one from the University of St. Catherine) on an Olympic Quest, January term, of China and England. Using a global, issues-oriented approach, this course will study sports, leisure and the Olympics, and their relationship to society and culture in England and China. We depart from Minneapolis on January 2nd and will be gone approximately 3 weeks.
To everyone following this blog, I have heard from Bonnie and everyone made it in, safe and sound. It's 2:45 AM, and with a 7:30 breakfast, they are all going to try to get some sleep. They don't have WiFi in their hotel, only land-lines [that they can connect to via computer wall plug-in] to connect to the internet, so they will see what they can do to keep everyone updated. We can all post to this blog to keep each other informed.
